First Breton vigil Sous Le Phare inaugurated in the presence of around thirty people including Gervais Egault, the mayor. “We open this room for cultural projects, but also offer it to companies, associations, for seminars or cultural and musical events,” explains Damien Verdier. For this first event, Jean-Paul Simon, writer, smuggler of stories and memories, told the story of Louannec yesterday and today using around a hundred photos. A speech full of anecdotes which won over the audience.”

“Sous Le Phare” is a lifelong dream coming true for Nathalie and Damien Verdier. An unusual professional reconversion that they hope will be successful.

A real favorite :
"we come from Yvelines (78) but my love story with Brittany dates back to my childhood. From 0 to 18 years old, I spent all my holidays in Bréhat islands where I was hosted by the Geffroy sisters. Since that time , I always wanted to settle in Brittany", explains Damien Verdier.
“I managed an economic integration structure while my husband was sales director
for companies in the digital field. It took us three years to find our place. At the beginning we searched all over Brittany before narrowing down our
research between Paimpol and Trebeurden", continues Nathalie Verdier.
"On the day of the visit, when I
discovered that the building was located near the Kerjean lighthouse, I fell in love with it.
Our three years of research were coming to an end,” adds Damien Verdier.

Lodges but not only:
The project of a lifetime which includes accommodation, a meeting room, a circular orchard, a permaculture vegetable garden, an apiary, but also the wish to offer cultural events to the public. “Firstly we have a
cottage classified *** for four people, a cottage classified ****
of eight people accessible to disabled and a meeting room accessible for rental from September to June, for 30 people maximum. Our entire project is focused on an eco-responsible approach, including during insulation work. We plan to offer unusual accommodation such as a tiny house and/or a caravan for
overnight stay. Being a musician, I also hope to offer musical events and exhibitions.”
